(We're a Different Kind of Bike Shop)

Black Cloud bikes was born from the remains of shuttered bike shops, a pile of secondhand parts, and a deep belief that bikes can change lives—not just for those riding them, but for the communities they move through.

We’re not here to race, flex, or upsell. We’re here to help you keep your ride rolling—whatever it looks like, whatever shape it’s in.

    Why “Black Cloud”?

Because we know life’s not always sunshine and smooth pavement.

We know bikes break. Budgets get tight. Confidence comes and goes.

Black Cloud Bikes is a reminder that you can ride through it anyway. You can fix what’s broken. You can roll forward—greasy hands and all.

Our motto? Ride Beyond the Storm.

    Our Mission

To empower riders through hands-on knowledge, affordable repairs, and a welcoming space where anyone—anyone—can learn, build, and belong.

    We want to:

    • Make basic bike maintenance accessible
    • Create a shop space that’s zero ego, zero pressure
    • Support DIYers, commuters, cruisers, and community riders
    • Give back to the cycling scene in Billings, Montana

Whether you’re tuning up your beater or starting your first rebuild, we’ve got your back.

    Who We Are

Black Cloud Bikes is a new brick-and-mortar shop—but the people behind it are far from new to the scene. We’re lifelong cyclists, tinkerers, and DIYers who believe in making bikes approachable for everyone.

We have a Universal Bicycle Institute certified mechanic and suspension technician on-site, backed by a professional selection of tools and a curated inventory of new and used parts. We focus on basic repairs, and we know our limits. Our specialty is in analog bikes—not high-end racers or e-bikes.

If you’re someone who values community, does things your own way, and believes in the “run what you brung” mindset, then this just might be your place.

No Elitism. No Barriers. Just Bikes.

You won’t find snobbery here. You won’t get shamed for not knowing the difference between a cassette and a freewheel. If you show up with curiosity, a busted bike, or just the desire to learn—we’ll welcome you with open arms and probably a wrench.
